JOSÉ CARLOS DAHER, MD

José Carlos Daher, MD graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in the city of Rio de Janeiro,  where he developed his first years of professional life in general surgery, a pre-requisite to specialize in Plastic Surgery.  
He attended the Specialization Course in Plastic Surgery at the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro under Professor Ivo Pitanguy's orientation, who became his master and adviser.

Moved to Brasília to start a Plastic Surgery Service at the Military Hospital, for which he was qualified by national public selection. Headed the Service for almost 10 years, a period in which he also developed his own private clinic.

In 1980  the Daher Clinic of Plastic Surgery was inaugurated and progressively developed to the installation of medical services to the population by the joining of professionals of other areas.

Finally, the  Daher Clinic became the South Lake Daher Hospital, a complete Health Organization, with 50 beds, 12 ICU beds, laboratory, emergency, etc. Dr. Daher  continues as head of the Plastic Surgery Service and of the Specialization Course of Plastic Surgery accredited by the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery.

An active participant of national and international meetings, he has published several original techniques and upgradings procedures, being a reference in present-day plastic surgery.
